Flash! FNL’s Adrianne Palicki cast as David Kelley’s
Wonder Woman

Look, Lynda Carter is Wonder Woman, okay?

I always figured that’s how she was introduced “Lynda Diana Wonder Woman Prince Carter”. 😉

But the iconic superhero, who has had relatively few screen appearances (compared to her DC stablemates, Superman and Batman), is coming back to series TV under the guidance of David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal).

A lot of actors have been interested in the role, but according to this

EW article

the part has gone to Adrianne Palicki, probably best known as Tyra Collette on Friday Night Lights.

She does have geek cred, having played Jessica Moore on Supernatural, Kara (Supergirl) on Smallville, the movie Legion, and having done several voices on Robot Chicken (among other things).

Honestly, I don’t have a very good feeling about this series.  They seem to really want to make a point that it won’t be campy, but please, don’t make it dour.  Wonder Woman is light, a fantasy…I mean, an invisible jet?   Magic lasso?  Playing bullets and bracelets?  It doesn’t have to be a satire, of course, but it should be fun.
