2010 Emmy Nominations

2010 Emmy Nominations

Archer was nominated for an Emmy!

Okay, we got that out of the way.  😉

This is going to be about what caught my eye.

  • It’s Locke versus Ben (both Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson, who are friends in real life, are nominated for supporting actor in a drama series for Lost)
  • Jane Lynch was nominated as Sue Sylvester on Glee (one of 19 nominations)…how could you not?
  • Tony Shalhoub gets a nom for the last season of Monk…he’s won three times before.  I did think his performances in the last episodes were really good, but he’ll have a challenge up against Steve Carell (who is leaving The Office and hasn’t won yet), Jim Parson for Big Bang, Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock, and Matthew Morrison (Mr. “Shue” on Glee)
  • Kathy Bates was nominated for Alice on Syfy
  • I think Heidi Klum is the “Lucci Leader” for this year…with 9 nominations and zero wins
  • Betty White was nominated for her work on Saturday Night Live
  • Among the series with one nomination: Batman: The Brave and the Bold; Ben 10; Burn Notice; Chowder; Flapjack; Fringe; iCarly; South Park; V; Warehouse 13; and Wizards of Waverly Place…they were all beaten by Human Target (which had 3 noms)

What did you think of the noms?  Are you happy with Glee getting 19?  Feel free to drop me a comment.
