On TV, we get: a new ep of Persons Unknown on NBC (special time at 8:00); a new eps of Flapjack (Cartoon Network) and Cake Boss (TLC); it’s a week of new Spongebob Squarepants on Nickelodeon, with a special tonight at 8:00 PM called The Clash of Triton; TBS has a new ep of Neighbors from H*ll; and there’s a new Warren the Ape on MTV

Tuesday, July 6

On TV, there’s: the second season debut of Warehouse 13 on Syfy; Deadliest Warrior has the Ming Warrior versus a musketeer;

On TV, we get: two new eps of Rebel Monkeys on NatGeo; the season finale of Ghost Hunters Academy on Syfy; a new Mythbusters on The Discovery Channel; a new ep of Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman on Science

Thursday, July 8

On TV, we get: the season debut of Big Brother on CBS; a new Futurama on Comedy Central; Showtime brings us a new Penn & Teller

Cons* starting today include: a Stargate convention with a slew of guests (Nemec, Avari, Avocone, among others) is in Vancouver; Readercon is in Burlington Massachusetts (150 authors are expected, including Peter Straub, Samuel R. Delaney, and Gary K. Wolfe

Friday, July 9

Movies opening today include: Despicable Me (a 3D ani with the voices of Steve Carell, Stewart Brand, Julie Andrews, and many more)…Carell is a supervillain…with kids; Predators, a sequel with Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, and many more (no Arnie, though); and Sing-Along Grease

Cons* starting today include: ConnectiCon is in Hartford, Connecticut, and prides itself in covering the gamut of fandom; G-Fest (Godzilla and other Kaiju Eiga…Japanese giant monsters)…movies being screened include Son of Godzilla and Godzilla versus Mothra (Chicago); Random Con is a gaming convention in Phoenix; Hunt Valley, Maryland hosts Shore Leave 32, with some big guests (Edward James Olmos, Katee Sackhoff, Kevin Sorbo); Super Megashow brings you comics and an all-star music jam tribute to the Beatles (musicians attending include Monkees Mickey Dolenz and Peter Tork, original Beatle Pete Best, Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere and the Raiders, Shirley Jones…and media stars including Lindsay Wagner and Marina Sirtis…and Larry Storch and Marty Ingels!)

On TV, there’s: the fourth season debut of Eureka on Syfy; a new Ghost Stories on the Travel Channel; the series debut of Haven (based on Stephen King’s Colorado Kid) on Syfy

Saturday, July 11

On TV, there’s: a new to BBC America ep of Doctor Who; two new eps (believe it or not) of Eastwick on ABC;

Sunday, July 12

On TV: a new True Blood on HBO; a special two-hour ep of Warehouse 13 on Syfy; and a new Adult Swim ep of Squidbillies on Cartoon Network

*Cons are short for “conventions”, when people who rarely leave the house get together…just kidding, of course, they can be great fun.  For details, I recommend Fanboy’s Convention List.
